Erik Mathy

erik_squareErik Mathy has a long and varied history with non-profits fundraising and volunteering. The many non-profts he has worked with include:

  • 1996 – 2002 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Team in Training (CA & WI). Participant, Mentor, Coach, Head Coach. Helped found the Team In Training Cycling program in WI.
  • 1998 – American Lung Association, GTE Big Ride participant & media rider. (750+ person cross country ride from Seattle to DC, fundraised $10,000. Was one of 10 designated cyclists made available for media interviews).
  • 2000 – General event volunteer, Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) Ride for the Roses (RfTR).
  • 2002 – Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, LAF RfTR.
  • 2003 – Assistant Expo Director, Fast Response Manager, LAF RfTR
  • 2004-2005 – Powerbar Health & Wellness Expo Director, Fast Response Manager, Course Director (2005) LAF RfTR
  • 2007 – Great Divide Route (Canada – Mexico, offroad) solo motorcycle record set as LAF fundraiser ($4k raised). 2,500 miles covered in 5 days.
  • 2007, 2008, 2009 – National Rest Stop Coordinator, LAF Livestrong Challenge Series (LSC).
  • 2010 – 2011 –  2011 Tour Divide participant as Livestrong fundraiser, over $9000 raised.
  • 2011 – 2012 – Web engineering volunteer, Pablove.org.
  • 2012 – Founded Dirty Kanza 200 Pablove Grub support program/fundraiser, Pablove.org. $4500 raised.
  • 2012 – Helped build and maintain event registration and fundraising site for the East Bay AIDS Walk.
  • 2012 – Board of Advisors, technology consultant, TranspireFoundation.org.

Erik is currently employed as a Senior Drupal Developer at the reknowned international non-profit, TechSoup.org.
